Information regarding travel to the rarescale course

TRAVEL

The Isle of Skye lies off the West Coast of Scotland and is connected to the mainland via the Skye Bridge.

Travelling by Plane:
The nearest airport is Inverness, which is approximately 2 and a half hours away by car/coach.

The following airlines operate into Inverness:
British Airways (Gatwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow)
BMI (Heathrow)
EasyJet (Gatwick, Luton, Belfast, Bristol)

Car Hire is available at the airport through Hertz and Avis

There are daily coach services to Sligachan from Inverness, Edinburgh and Glasgow via Citylink

It is advised to finalise your travel plans as early as possible in order to benefit from best airline prices.

Travelling by train:
The nearest railway stations are at Kyle of Lochalsh (from Inverness) and Mallaig (from Glasgow and Fort William). Onward travel to Sligachan is available via taxi or coach.

Scotrail run overnight sleeper trains from London Euston to Inverness or Fort William.

Please ensure you have adequate travel insurance, as rarescale cannot refund fees for missed classes due to travel problems
